Bluegrass Open G is a higher tuning then the "standard" open G and is generally ment to be used on a square neck dobro which is a lot stiffer then a round neck. You could probably get by with it on a round neck if you de-tune after you play but your best bet is to get a square neck if you want to use that tuning.
