WebAug 20, 2024 · Ray Traced shadows only work with RTX cards. A GTX 1660 will not work. Any "workarounds" you try will only cause problems with either the game or your video card. Also, for those wondering, yes you can test the new ray tracing on the PTR. I do not have beta access, but I logged on the PTR and the ray tracing option is there and can be enabled. WebAug 31, 2024 · The only GTX cards that have hardware ray-tracing are the 1600 cards. Any other GTX card will take a huge hit when you’re forced to use software ray-tracing. The 1600s don’t have the RTX hardware, or at the very least they have it severed (either physically or through firmware). Zero tensor cores, zero RT cores.
