Recent study of power starts to examine the concept of power in ap-plied scientific framework. The new movement has renewed the ar-gument among power theorists over the issue of power measurement. WebbAs the essence of power cannot be captured, it follows that the essence of its contestation can also not be fully captured. The dichotomies mentioned above overlap with one another, and can thus not be perfectly distinguished, nor can different theories of power be fully categorized in these terms.
